Vanhsy Soukchaleune is the Director of Puppet Theatre Lao Groupe, founded in 1979, which belongs to the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Department of Performing Arts. Puppet Theatre Lao Groupe is the only theatre company that produces TYA works in Laos.

Before Vanhsy joined the company and became a director in 2012, she got the Master’s Degree of Art in children's psychology in the former Soviet Republics. Though Puppet Theatre Lao Groupe has toured overseas including Thailand, Philippines and Myanmar, this is her first time to visit Japan. Vanhsy looks forward to meeting those who are engaged in TYA in Japan and Asia through the programme.
