Teta Tulay is a multi-disciplinary artist, cultural worker and educator who has received recognition from Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, Animation Council of the Philippines Inc (ACPI), and the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) for some of her collaborative and individual endeavors in animation and illustration. She is a member of Anino Shadowplay Collective, a company of artists devoted to the popularization of shadowplay in the country, and Pinoy Animagination, a group of independent animators who facilitate workshops that propagate alternative animation. She is an external moderator for AniMagis animation club at the Ateneo Grade School, academic coordinator of the Fine Arts Program at Kalayaan College in Quezon City, and a lecturer at the School of Design and Arts AB Animation Program of De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, where she also mentors Karilyo, an artist group under the Office of Culture and Arts.
