Ariyo Zidni
Ayo Dongeng Indonesia Community
Ariyo Zidni, is the Founder and the Head of The Ayo Dongeng Indonesia Community (Indonesia Storytelling Community), The Director of Indonesia International Storytelling Festival, and Co-Founder of Federation of Asian Storyteller (FEAST, based in Singapore). He has been invited to tell stories as an International Storyteller from Indonesia at India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. He is also a storytelling coach, children-story writer, soft-skill trainer, he was a lecturer (who teached classes on storytelling at the University of Indonesia and guest lectures at many universities). Now, Ariyo established a group of Puppet Theater with his fellow Puppet Storyteller from Ayo Dongeng Indonesia. Ariyo and this project already performed at Pesta Boneka in 2018, an International Puppet Festival in Jogjakarta, Indonesia with two different kind of performance, and also in Kuching, Malaysia at the Sarawak Children Festival in 2019. Drawn to the social healing aspect of storytelling, Ariyo Zidni began telling stories in 1999. He has participated in Storytelling for trauma healing for Post Disaster Program of Tsunami in Aceh and Pangandaran, Indonesia, and other social storytelling events at schools, orphanages and libraries.
